About LHT

I’m Joe Cornett, the owner of LHT Cooling, Heating and Refrigeration, Inc. in North Myrtle Beach. I want to share a little background information about myself.

The HVACR industry has been a lifelong profession for me.

My father was a steamfitter in Washington D.C., and he eventually opened his own HVAC & Plumbing company. I worked by my father’s side from the time I was a little boy and throughout my teenage years. During this time I learned the fundamentals of the industry, as well as the importance of honesty and having a strong work ethic.

During high school, I joined the vocational HVAC program, the Center of Applied Technology. I graduated first in my class. After graduation, I went to Towson University in Towson, Maryland where I earned a degree in Business Management. After college, I enrolled in the local community college and earned an HVACR certificate. I also earned my NATE certification at this time. Both during and after graduating college, I worked for several HVACR companies in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area. From each job that I had, I learned something new and worthwhile that I knew would some day help me achieve my dream of owning and operating my own company.

Joe Cornett at workIn 2003 I moved to Myrtle Beach and by 2004 I started my own business, Cornett Cooling and Heating Inc. In 2006, I purchased LHT Mechanical Inc. from Ray and Michelle Lyons, who had been in business for over 20 years. Ray and Michelle helped me with the transition and taught me some of the ins and outs of owning my own business. I have worked very hard the past several years and now my business has evolved into LHT Cooling, Heating & Refrigeration Inc.

My personal desire for LHT Cooling, Heating & Refrigeration Inc. has always been to offer the absolute highest level of quality to people at a reasonable and competitive price. I highly value honesty and integrity, and I believe that my moral principles are what have helped me develop and maintain my working relationships over the years. I am truly not happy until my customer is 100% satisfied.
